Canada Calling was a 71 year listening tradition. Prior Smith’s Canada Calling broadcasts of news from home served Canadians travelling to and in Florida, across the U.S. Sunbelt and beyond daily during the winter months. Canadian travellers and vacationers stayed in touch with home Monday through Friday mornings in season.

The Canada Calling broadcasts that have aired for more than 70 winter seasons were created by Dave Price and launched on Florida radio January 4th, 1954. He operated the radio network for more than 20 years.
